In addition to the stand-alone version of the Epson Discproducer ™ (PC - Connected ) Epson is developing a network version with built-in PC , which has additional security features and in quarter 4 will be available in 2008 .
A special feature of this device are the individual ink cartridges which makes the system significantly stands out from its competitors. Compared to previous systems, the inks are actually here to 100 % depleted. Thus , this system achieved the lowest cost per disc for devices in its class.
