The gripping and transport mechanism (robotics) has also been optimized. A precise belt drive with processor controlled stepper motor increases the throughput speed significantly - in the case of the DP-4100 series by the
Triple. This enables smooth and quiet production.
Separate ink cartridges for lower unit costs
The DP-4100 Series is Primera's first Disc Publisher series with separate ink tanks for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black (CMYK). So you only need to replace the ink that has actually been used. This effectively reduces the cost of each print. You don't waste ink on designs that consume more ink than others, and it's good for the environment.

The integrated inkjet printing module from Lexmark®, a leader in the printing industry, delivers 4800 dpi print resolution for disk duplication and printing systems.
To get the best print results and produce truly professional discs, use TuffCoat media with Primera's WaterShield™ interface. TuffCoat WaterShield media are water, scratch and smear resistant and have a brilliant glossy surface. Of course, you can also use optical media from other manufacturers. These discs only need to be inkjet printable.
Blu-ray logoThe models of the DP-4100 series are optionally available with the latest generation of Blu-ray drives on customer request. Blu-ray Discs allow the recording of high-definition videos with up to 25 GB for single-layer media or 50 GB for dual-layer media. Of course, these capacities can also be used to back up documents, photos and other files.
Easy media access
For vertical applications such as medical imaging or video and music on-demand, it is imperative that discs are output frontally after completion. In contrast to some competitor products, this is not only integrated in the DP-4100 series, but the media ejection is automated without opening the device. In addition, a 100 disc output tray is included in the scope of delivery.

Illuminated in blue
The built-in blue LED illumination, which not only illuminates the interior but also indicates by pulsing that the ink or media level is low. Errors during operation are indicated by the LED light flashing. Operation of the DP-4100 series is as simple as printing with a standard office printer. The handling of Primeras PTPublisher™ software can be learned in just a few minutes thanks to the assistant controlled user interface.
Select job type (e.g. data, video or music disc) and print motif and finally click on "GO". So simple!
The integrated design software SureThing™ Primera Edition is used to design layouts under Windows. Mac users use DiscCover™. Photos, background motifs, texts and graphics can be placed anywhere on the disc surface. In contrast to other Publisher devices, you can design the entire surface borderless up to the inner ring.
Integrated Programs
The following software modules are additionally integrated:
PTRip™: Automatically digitizes music CDs and transfers the music tracks either to Apple® iTunes® (usable with iPhone®, iPod® and iPod Touch®) or to Microsoft® Windows Media Player.
PTBackUp™: automatically creates time-controlled backups of your files on CDs, DVDs or optionally Blu-ray Discs.
PTProtect™: prevents unauthorized copying of your video data DVDs. Three copy-protected burn operations are included.
Easy integration
Vertical applications often require direct integration into existing application environments. Examples for such applications are medical image processing or PACS systems in DICOM format, surveillance and archiving systems in law enforcement or on-demand solutions for video and audio data. To simplify the integration process, Primera offers free Software Developer's Kits (SDKs) for both Windows and Mac platforms to qualified developers.
